The Tickets step is where you add your ticket tiers, such as Early Bird, General Admission or VIP. Each tier has its own price, quantity and sale times.

Add a ticket tier

  1. Click Add Ticket Tier.
  2. Enter the Ticket Tier Name, for example "Early Bird".
  3. Enter the Quantity you want to sell.
  4. Check Capacity Per Ticket: how many people each ticket lets in. Leave it at 1 for a normal ticket. For a ticket that admits a group, such as a family pass, enter the group size.
  5. Enter the Ticket Price. This doesn't include the booking fee.
  6. Enter the Booking Fee. A recommended amount appears under the field once you've entered a price.
  7. Choose a Ticket Pricing Option:
    • Cheapest available ticket pool: tiers sell cheapest first. When one sells out, the next opens. This is the default.
    • Fixed price listing: this tier is always available until it sells out or sales end.
  8. Check Ticket Sale Start, when sales open.
  9. Choose a Sale End Date Mode, when sales close:
    • Relative: sales end a set time before the session ends, using Stop sales before event/session ends (days, hours and minutes). This is the default.
    • Fixed: sales end at a specific date and time.
  10. Click Add Ticket Tier.

Repeat for each tier, then click Save & Next.

Your tier list

Once added, each tier shows its price with booking fee, its sale times, how many have sold, and its status.

  • Use the On Sale switch to take a tier off sale and put it back on.
  • Drag the handle on the left of a tier to change the order buyers see your tiers in. The new order saves straight away.
  • Click a tier's name to edit it.

Notes

  • Capacity and tickets aren't the same. Each ticket tier has a Capacity Per Ticket, which is 1 by default because one ticket lets one person in. For a family pass, you could sell 4 tickets with a name on each, or 1 ticket with a Capacity Per Ticket of 4. Your session's Max Capacity still caps total attendance. See Creating an event, step 1: Details.
  • Cloned an event? Tiers set to Relative move with the new session times, so you don't need to change them. Tiers set to Fixed keep their old dates, so update them. See How do I copy an event to create a new one?.

  • Sales start straight away unless you choose a later start.

  • By default, sales run until your event ends.
  • Each tier has more options under Advanced Settings, including purchase limits, its own ticket design, and whether buyers can change names, resell or request refunds. See How do I create a ticket tier?.
