On a seated event, each ticket tier has Seat Assignments. Add a section, or a range of rows in a section, to each tier. Buyers can only buy a tier for the seats you've linked to it.
Link seats to a tier
- Open your event and click Tickets.
- Click Add Ticket Tier, or click a tier's name to edit it.
- Enter the tier's name, price and booking fee as normal. Set Quantity to the number of seats you'll link to the tier. Quantity caps sales, so a tier with a lower quantity stops selling before its seats run out.
- Under Seat Assignments, click ADD SEAT ASSIGNMENT.
- Choose the Section.
- To use only some rows, choose a Row start and Row end. Leave both on All rows to use the whole section.
- Click SAVE ASSIGNMENT.
- Repeat from step 4 to add more sections or rows to the same tier.
- Click Add Ticket Tier, or Save if you're editing.
Each assignment shows as a card, such as "Bay 1, Rows B - E". Click the pencil to change it, or the bin to remove it.
Common set-ups
Price by section. Create one tier per section, such as "Bay Seat" for Bay 1 and "Premium Seat" for the Premium section.
Price by rows. Split a section between tiers using row ranges. For example, link rows A to A to "Front Row" and rows B to E to "Standard".
More than one ticket type on the same seats. Link the same section to several tiers, such as "Adult" and "Concession". When a buyer clicks a seat, they choose the ticket type for it.
General admission areas. Link a general admission section to its own tier. Buyers choose how many tickets they want, up to the area's capacity.
Special seats. Wheelchair spaces, companion seats or a sponsor's box need their own row or section in the layout. Link them to a tier for that purpose. If only some people should be able to book them, submit a support request and we'll help you set it up.
Events with several sessions
Seat assignments on a shared tier apply to every session and are copied to each session's linked tier. If you unlink a tier for one session, check its seat assignments for that session afterwards. See How do I set up different tickets for each session?.
Notes
- A section with no tier linked shows greyed out on the seat map. Buyers can't book it.
- Booking fees, sale times and advanced settings work the same as any other tier. See How do I create a ticket tier?.
- You can't link single seats. The smallest unit is one row.
- When several tiers share the same seats, each tier's Quantity limits that tier. The seats themselves can still only be sold once.
