Go to Settings, open Integrations and enter your Pixel ID. Adding a Meta Conversion API (CAPI) Token too is optional, but highly recommended for accurate stats. Tracking then works across all your events.

Get your details from Meta

  1. Open Meta Events Manager.
  2. Find your pixel, or create one.
  3. Copy the Pixel ID.
  4. Optional but recommended: set up the Conversions API and copy its access token. See below.

Meta's screens change often. If you can't find something, search Meta's Business Help Centre for "pixel ID".

Set up the Conversions API in Meta (recommended)

The Conversions API sends your sales to Meta from our servers, alongside your pixel. You set it up once in Meta Events Manager.

  1. In Meta Events Manager, open your pixel's dataset and check that "Meta pixel" is connected.
  2. Start the Conversions API set-up and choose to set it up manually.
  3. Choose two events: "Purchase" and "View Content".
  4. For each event, tick these event detail parameters:
    • The required ones, which are already ticked: "Event Time", "Event Name", "Event Source URL" and "Action Source". For "Purchase", "Currency" and "Value" are required too.
    • "Event ID" and "Content Type".
  5. For each event, tick these customer information parameters:
    • "Client IP Address" and "Client User Agent" (already ticked)
    • "Email" and "Phone"
    • "External ID"
    • "Click ID (fbc) Cookie" and "Browser ID (fbp) Cookie"
  6. Leave the rest unticked, such as "Opt Out", the data processing options, names, address and date of birth.
  7. Click "Continue" and check the "Review Setup" page lists both events with the parameters above.
  8. Finish the set-up, then generate an access token for the Conversions API and copy it.

When you're done, the dataset's "Integrations" view shows both "Conversions API" and "Meta pixel" connected.

Meta's screens change often, and labels can differ slightly by language and region, for example "Postcode" instead of "Zip Code". If you can't find a step, search Meta's Business Help Centre for "set up Conversions API manually".

Add them to Triniq

  1. Click Settings in the left menu.
  2. Click the Integrations tab.
  3. Under Meta Integration, paste your Pixel ID.
  4. Paste your Meta Conversion API (CAPI) Token, if you have one.
  5. Click SAVE.
  6. Click SEND TEST EVENT and check it arrives in Meta Events Manager.

Why use both

  • The pixel tracks visitors in their browser.
  • The Conversions API sends sales to Meta from our servers, so it captures sales the pixel misses, such as from iPhones and browsers that block tracking.

Notes

  • These settings cover every event in your company. There's no per-event pixel.
  • Allow up to 24 hours for data to appear in Meta.
  • Only admins can change integrations.
  • Treat your CAPI token like a password. Don't share it.
  • Why Meta's numbers differ from ours: each platform credits sales to ads and visits in its own way, called attribution. Our reports use single-click attribution: each sale is credited to one click, the one that first brought the buyer to your event page. Meta uses its own rules and time windows, so its figures can be higher or lower than ours. See How do I see where my ticket buyers came from?.
