Create a venue, then use the layout editor to add seated sections, general admission areas and shapes such as the stage. Save often. You can reuse the layout for every event at that venue.

Open the Venues page

Go to https://admin.triniq.com/venue-layout while logged in. The Venues page lists your saved venues. Click a venue's name to open it.

On a seated event, you can also click Edit Layout under Venue Layout in the Details step. This opens the venue that's chosen for the event.

Create a venue

  1. On the Venues page, click New Venue.
  2. Enter the venue's Name, Address, City and Country.
  3. Click CREATE VENUE.

The layout editor opens. The grid in the middle is your map. The panel on the right lists your Sections and Shapes.

Add a seated section

  1. Under Sections, set how many Rows and Seats (per row) you need.
  2. Set Row start, the first row's letter, for example A.
  3. Set Seat start #, the first seat's number, usually 1.
  4. Turn on Rows count bottom up if row A should be at the back, furthest from the stage.
  5. Turn on Seats numbered right to left if seat 1 should be on the right.
  6. Click ADD SECTION.

The section appears on the map and its settings open. Give it a clear Name, such as "Bay 1" or "Stalls Left". Buyers see this name.

Add a general admission area

Use a general admission section for standing room, a lawn or any area without set seats.

  1. Click ADD SECTION.
  2. Give it a Name, such as "GA Standing".
  3. Turn on General Admission. If your browser asks you to confirm, click OK. The rows and seats are removed.
  4. Enter the Section capacity, the most people the area holds.

You can't save the layout until every general admission area has a capacity.

Add the stage and other features

  1. Under Shapes, click ADD RECTANGLE or ADD OVAL.
  2. Enter a Label, such as "STAGE", "BAR" or "ENTRY".
  3. Set the Width, Height, Rotation (°) and Opacity (%).
  4. Choose the Fill Color and Stroke Color (the outline).
  5. Drag the shape into place on the map.

Shapes are for buyers to get their bearings. They can't be booked.

Arrange your map

  • Move a section or shape: drag it.
  • Angle a section: open it and set its Rotation (°), so its seats sit at the same angle as in your venue. See How do I change rows, seat numbers and sections in my layout?.
  • Reshape a section: drag one of its corner handles. Drag the handle in the middle of an edge to move that whole edge. This is useful for angled or curved areas.
  • Zoom: use + and - on the right of the map. The reset button brings everything back into view.
  • Back to the list: click BACK TO LIST at the top of the settings panel.

Save your layout

  • Click SAVE to save and keep editing. "Unsaved changes" shows next to the venue name until you do.
  • Click SAVE & EXIT when you're finished.

Manage a venue

Open a venue from the Venues page to:

  • Update its Name, Address, City or Country, then click SAVE CHANGES.
  • Set its Status to Active or Inactive.
  • Check each section's seat count and the Total Seats. General admission areas show 0 seats.
  • Click EDIT LAYOUT to change the map.

Notes

  • To change rows, seat numbers, colours or rotation, see How do I change rows, seat numbers and sections in my layout?.
  • If you try to leave the editor with unsaved changes, your browser asks if you want to leave. Choose to stay, then click SAVE.
  • You can't set up single seats individually. Put special seats, such as wheelchair spaces, in their own row or section.
  • Get your layout right before you go on sale. Once tickets have sold for any event that uses it, submit a support request before you change it.
  • Click ADD IMAGE to add a logo or other graphic to the map, for design or branding. Any common image file works. Keep it small so the map loads quickly on phones.
