The prerequisite for using the Facebook conversion tracking is to have already installed your Facebook Pixel ID correctly to your event.

If you have not installed your Facebook Pixel to your event then to use conversion tracking you must first follow our help article 'How do I set up my Facebook Pixel for Facebook Ads?', otherwise, if you have your Facebook Pixel installed correctly already then you are ready to move forward.

If your pixel is installed correctly then head to the Facebook Ads Manager. Inside the ads manager use the menu button with 3 bars in the top left of the screen to find Audiences in the submenu (may be in the see all tools link).

On the audiences page make sure your correct account is selected from the dropdown on the top left of the Audiences screen.

After that click the Create Audiences button and select Custom Audience.

The next popup will load, click the Website Traffic option. In the next step you can choose anyone who loads your pixel from any website you place it, or if you use your pixel in many places you may opt to choose only specific pages. Either way whichever combination you are looking to target you can set it up here.

We recommend that you target specific pages via url contains, that way you always have that audience separate.

To use the custom audiences in your targeting just search for the Custom Audience name in the Custom Audience targeting during adset creation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The audiences will only collect data on new people visiting these audience conditions that you set, it will not count the past visitors. Therefore, setting up your Custom Audiences inside Facebook should be one of the first things you do after you have finished setting up your event in Triniq before launching.
