Whilst everyone has their own method of pricing their tickets, here is a simple method of pricing tickets for those who are either new to the industry or veterans looking for new strategies:

1.  Prepare a detailed event budget of expenses to find exactly how much the event will cost.

2.  Find out the capacity of the event and loosely estimate how many tickets you can sell.

3.  Once you know all of the above, divide the total cost of the event by how many tickets you forecast to sell. This will be your average ticket price.

4.  Once you have your average ticket price you can use that as a guide to split the event into 2-3 ticket tiers and balance those ticket tiers with your forecast.

A quick tip on the above method would be, try and make your average ticket price from the ticket tiers to be more expensive than your forecasted sales based average ticket calculation.

A final note, this is a general and simple ticket pricing strategy. There are many more ways to price events that you may be more comfortable with or feel requires a unique approach, however, the above works great for small indoor shows.
